Brazilian Sugaring
Sugaring Hair Removal is a skin treatment and hair removal service.
Using just sugar, lemon juice and water, it’s all natural cruelty free, sustainable, and easier on the skin.
If you have hyperpigmentation from ingrowns, scarring, or chafing, sugaring lightens your skin tone, while also reducing your hair growth.
For curly, coarse & dense hair, we recommend 2-3 wax sessions first to loosen hair growth, prior to starting sugaring.
Maintenance is done every 5-7 weeks.
Brazilian Waxing
We spread softened hard wax over your skin, letting it embrace those pesky hairs, and then remove them swiftly and efficiently.
You'll say goodbye to ingrown hairs, and hello to long lasting smoothness and finer hair regrowth.
For first-timers, we recommend following booking appointments every 4 weeks for the first 3 sessions.

Katrina noticed a major gap in the industry: not enough diversity or representation, and way too many women left feeling unseen.
So, she created Tropix Gal: a safe space where all women, all skin types, all hair types and all body types feel seen, pampered, and empowered.
Now with a sustainable business and 3 employees, Katrina has stepped out of the treatment room into her calling: educating & mentoring estheticians.
Outside of being an entrepreneur, you’ll find Katrina raving, scuba diving, or frolicking through the forest like the magical waxing fairy she is.

Micaela is the creative force and Executive Assistant queen behind the scenes at Tropix Gal. As our Executive Assistant, she supports Katrina directly and helps keep everything running smoothly—from bookings, website management, marketing & content production, and supporting with other day-to-day operations.
With a background in film production in 2018, Micaela has a natural eye for storytelling and visual designs. Her passion for storytelling naturally evolved into digital marketing, where she is now a self-taught independent digital marketer passionate about content creation, and has built a strong online presence of her own. Before joining Tropix Gal, she also worked as a Marketing Manager, gaining valuable experience that she brings to the table.
Micaela has poured her heart into learning everything she knows—investing time, money, and late nights into learning social media strategy, branding, and digital design. She brings fresh ideas, creative energy, and passion to everything she touches.

Waxing
Wax comes in two main forms: soft wax (removed with a strip) and hard gel wax (which sets on the skin and is removed without a strip). Both types are applied warm and are effective for removing hair from the root. Waxing is suitable for all hair and skin types.Sugaring
Sugaring is a natural hair removal method made from just three ingredients: sugar, lemon juice, and water. This paste is molded onto the skin and flicked off in the direction of hair growth. Sugaring is especially ideal for those with sensitive skin, darker skin tones, or anyone looking to reduce the likelihood of ingrown hairs and achieve slower, finer regrowth over time. -
1. Hair Length
For optimal removal, your hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice—typically about 10–14 days of growth after shaving. If the hair is too short, the wax or sugar paste may not grip effectively.2. Exfoliate Before Your Appointment
Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before your service using a manual exfoliant such as a body scrub, exfoliating glove, or dry brush. This helps remove dead skin cells and allows for better product adhesion and smoother results.3. Dress Comfortably
Wear loose-fitting, breathable clothing to your appointment, and avoid tight fabrics like polyester that may irritate the skin post-treatment.4. Arrive Early
Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to use the restroom and settle in. This gives you time to relax and ask any questions you may have.5. Communication is Key
